Communication
Designer Philosophy Presentation | Week 8
This presentation allowed me to communicate m philosophy in a very visual way. For my philosophy presentation I chose to show my art because in my paper I talk about how my philosophy is applied into the field that I want to go into. What I really got enjoyed about this project was that I was able to explain why I do my art. So many times, do people think that art is done just for fun but i this case I got to explain the purpose of it.I learned that when you combine both visual and verbal communication you are able to put fourth a stronger message. If I had just shown the pictures people would have just made their own assumptions.
Interview with an Entrepreneur/ Innovator | Week 2
For this assignment I had to interview someone that I thought to be an innovative entrepreneur, and I chose to do it on my teachers old painting friend, Bert Hornbeck. There was a part in the interview where I asked her what she would have liked to have known before she got in the field and part o her answer was unexpected. She said that if you wanted yo be noticed artist it doesn't matter how good you are, you have to go and show your stuff everywhere. I think this was a good lesson in communication because I learned that if you want to best communicate your message you have to do it in volume. If you just communicate it to a few people it won't have an impact.
