Ethic and Social Responsibility
Part B CBL | Week 6
For this part of the CBL we have to analyze the agency that we had to use for our Community Based Learning project. What I learned from this is that everyone has a responsibility to society and this was presented in the message of The Needle Exchange Program. This program tries to help both the homeless by trying to get them off drugs and society in general by deterring the spread of AID and HIV. This program seeks to help the lower end of humanity and i is something that no one else is doing. I learned that no matter what, we must always help each other out because in the end we are all people.
Place Idea Process | Week 4
For this assignment I we had to observe a place within PSU and look at their ethics. One thing that think I learned about the code of ethics that seemed to be in every place that the students visited was that the place has to mold to its audience. For example our place that we looked at was the SHAC and they did a lot o things to accommodate the students. For one it was located very close to the dorms, and it also provided exclusive insurance to students. Stuff like this was presented in every place such as the Multicultural Center and Woman's resource center. I think that accommodating your audience is something that I learned from this assignment.
